Course Overview
Lyndon B. Johnson Tropical Medical Center is a patient-centered healthcare institution, where the well being of the patient comes first with the highest priority on one’s duty and responsibility. Laboratory personnel are not exempt since they may interact directly with patients and deliver supportive care indirectly behind the scene. The primary purpose of this course is to train the medical laboratory providers on improving the quality of patient care through excellent customer service.

Carol Becker, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM is a retired Program Director for the Clinical Laboratory Science program and Histology program at OSF St. Francis Medical Center located in Peoria, Illinois. Carol received her Master’s degree at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois and her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL.
